Using photographs from the exhibition Changing Nature: A New Vision, Photographs by James Balog (among others), students will learn a variety of techniques for creating a photorealistic painting, in the medium of their choice. Instructor will demonstrate ways to accurately transfer a composition onto the substrate, and how to achieve photorealism in their painting. Demonstrations, coaching and critiques will be provided as needed. The VBMA will supply all materials for this class to registered students. This class is supported by The William Randolph Hearst Foundation.
