Beginner level

This course is designed to teach beginners the art and science of oil or acrylic painting, including perspective, color, and brushwork. Classes cover what students need to know about how to start an enjoyable and successful lifetime of painting. Students will work on assignments in class with specific instruction. The instructor will take the students through the galleries for the VBMA M.C. Escher: Infinite Variations exhibition.

Classes meet October 11 – December 13, 2023
