Students will learn about the seafaring Minoans with their beautiful nature art and the Mycenaean warriors with their great citadels. They will discover the Golden Age of Athens, including the Parthenon, the sculptures of Phidias, and the traditions of Greek ceramics. This class will explore the Greek colonies of Asia Minor, where Wonders of the World could be found, and of southern Italy, where ancient temples still stand in Sicily and at Paestum.
