course is for you! Learn about artist-explorers like
Mark Catesby, an English country squire turned
adventurer; William Bartram, a Pennsylvania
Quaker who traveled south to Florida, where
he canoed across a lake of alligators and lived to
sketch the creatures; and John James Audubon, a
flamboyant figure whose art fosters love of birds.
