TRANSLUCENT TREASURES – CREATIONS 
WITH GLASS

In this class, students will learn some very basic 
glass working skills as well as some unconventional
ones to create both decorative and functional 
creations. This is a fireless class! The only heat used 
in this class will be from a sobering iron which is 
roughly the size and heat output of a standard glue 
gun. All levels are welcome to join and students 
may bring in any broken glass, sea glass, and other 
glass they may have. Some glass in an array of 
beautiful colors will be available for the dazzling 
and luminous creations. This class will also include 
a guided trip to the galleries to view the VBMA’s 
exhibition Roadside Reverie: Glass Works by John 
Miller.

Classes meet November 14 – December 12, 2024
