This course is an introduction to various styles and techniques of non-representational, abstract painting. Topics include Abstract Expressionism, Color Field, Geometric Abstraction, and Hard-Edge painting. A series of individual projects in oil or acrylic media will explore artistic techniques and concepts incorporating elements of line, shape, form, color, tone, and texture.
